This is the main teaching area used. There are many tables here and a smart board/ film projector. When students and teachers were asked what tey thought about furniture in the center, they both felt it was lacking. Half of the students polled said they would change the furniture, while 75% of educators reported that they would like to see it changed.
One respondent said "If money would allow having soft couches for students to sit on while reading during free time would be nice!" Another teacher said, "Kid friendly spaces. Little furniture comfortable areas to read," were changes they would like to see.
Just behind the tables are bookshelves and 2 side tables near the computer area. One teacher noted, "I wish more tables were available for students to work at and not necessarily have to use them for lesson time in the media center. Perhaps that's where the arrangement could be changed."
